maude is proud to announce its sponsorship of "Private Lives: From the Bedroom to Social Media," an upcoming exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, located within the Louvre. This exhibition delves into the evolving concept of privacy and intimacy, tracing its journey from the 18th century to the present day.

Curated by Christine Macel, Private Lives features over 470 works—including paintings, photographs, and decorative objects—offering a rich exploration of how the boundaries between public and private life have shifted over time. The exhibition is divided into twelve thematic sections, including "A Room of One’s Own," "Bathing," "Intimacy and Sexuality," and "The Connected Bedroom." Together, these themes paint a vivid picture of how intimate spaces have shaped human experience throughout history.

As part of the exhibition, maude’s vibe and spot are displayed among other historically significant objects including beds, bathtubs, and dressing tables. These streamlined devices, inspired by Brâncusi’s sculptures, are crafted from 100% platinum-grade silicone and reflect maude’s commitment to thoughtful design that challenges the stigma surrounding sexual wellness.

“We’ve always believed that design can inspire cultural change, especially in a category that has long been overlooked,” says maude founder and CEO, Eva Goicochea. “This exhibition offers a powerful platform to elevate the dialogue around intimacy, making it not just a conversation about the bedroom, but about our lives as a whole.”

Running through March 30, 2025, Private Lives provides a unique lens on the evolution of intimacy and privacy, offering visitors the opportunity to reflect on how these concepts continue to shape our everyday lives.
