This story follows street hustlers and best friends Mike (Phoenix) and Scott (Reeves) throughout their antics in the Pacific Northwest. Both men, after years of workin on the street—search for family and a deeper meaning of life. Mike is in search of his mother—who has moved to Italy in search of her own family. Mike, who is in love with Scott—is heartbroken when Scott falls in love with a young woman in Italy and returns to the states with her. Mike spirals—his narcoleptic episodes getting worse.
